Italian Trade Commission, Hong Kong Bartenders Association (HKBA) and the Organiser of Restaurant & Bar Hong Kong x Gourmet Asia (RBGA) are cordially inviting you to participate in the industry renowned event.
Italian Cocktail Challenge features a series of premium Italian spirits, liqueurs, aperitifs, and glassware to let talented contestants to recreate and reinvent the beauty of Italy.
The challenge aims to promote and support the professionalism of bartenders and the Art of Mixology. This world-class platform offers a fantastic opportunity for contestants to showcase their skills with their expertly crafted cocktails.

With the support of a total of around 50 different Italian brands, Bar Italiano will take place on 7-8 September. The bar area will display the products usually offered in Italian Bars, including cocktails, coffee, bakery, cheese, cold cuts, etc., depending on the timeslot, in order to showcase the best “Italian Bar Experience”.
For Food Demonstrations, to be held at 12.30-1.30 pm, we are honoured to invite Filippo Bencini to demonstrate cheese and salumi products. Each session will cover 3 types of DOP cheese including Grana Padano (DOP), Pecorino Toscano (DOP) and Mozzarella di Bufala Campana (DOP) together with 3 types of salumi including Prosciutto Crudo, Mortadella and Salami. During the demonstrations, you will surely learn more about the products regarding their characteristics, qualities, geographical origin, and how they are used in Italian cuisine.
Filippo Bencini – Head Chef Production Kitchen of Mercato Gourmet
Working in the F&B industry for more than 2 decades, Filippo has excellent knowledge on Italian food and DOP products, especially cold cuts and cheese. As the Head Chef Production Kitchen, he currently manages the daily operation of 6 retail shops of Mercato Gourmet. Also, he used to work as the master in international Delicatessen, Charcuterie and Cheese Expert in different F&B companies.
Italian cocktails will be the main focus: we are glad to have Samuel Kwok to be our guest speaker at Italian Cocktail Demonstrations. Together with a brief introduction of the main Italian spirits and liqueurs categories, he will demonstrate how to create amazing cocktails with them. An exceptional occasion to discover new recipes and share an Italian cocktail experience!
Samuel Kwok – Co-founder of CNY BAR
Being a co-founder of CNY Bar by Stinky Gents, Samuel has rich experience in the bar and hospitality industry. His innovative cocktails often involve unique, homemade or classic ingredients to create new flavour combinations. With such great passion and creativity in cocktails, Samuel was 2017 Diageo World Class HK & Macau Champion and has been ranked #12 in 2017 Diageo World Class Global (Mexico City).
